Wild is Life Zimbabwe’s vision goes beyond rehabilitation — it is about returning animals to the wild where they belong. In partnership with the Forestry Commission, a state-of-the-art rewilding facility has been established in Panda Masuie Forest near Victoria Falls, spanning 84,000 acres under a 25-year protected lease within the KAZA TFCA region.

Since its inception, Panda Masuie has transformed into a thriving ecosystem under the leadership of Conservation Director Jos Danckwerts. Key developments include improved road networks, permanent water points, ranger bases, and annual firebreak management, all contributing to a safer and more sustainable environment.

These efforts have attracted diverse wildlife and created meaningful benefits for local communities through employment, education, and outreach programmes. Building on this success, Wild is Life has expanded into the neighbouring Fuller and Kavira Forest reserves, significantly growing its conservation footprint and impact.
